i've played this game for over a decade but never completed it to ending credits until now. basically some of the missions are fucking challenging especially with time limits. one simple mistake can end the entire mission, where you reload, drive, and try again. theres no point to continue playing after you fail a mission so you just reload to save time wasted. the mission variety is good, car physics feel fun to drive especially fast speeds, the gun combat is simple but good enough although it comes down to who shoots first. the biggest complaint is having NO MAP so in missions where youre forced to go to a certain spot (especially involving crossing bridges) is annoying as all hell as you're forced to just memorize every street and turn.
the general story arc of Claude betraying everyone he comes in contact of is kind of cool too, hes just a badass mercenary who takes jobs and does nothing personal. the ending was a bit abrupt especially since you get introduced to this whole other island with basically one or two real missions and then its over then you just do payphone missions and freeroam? nah
