now this is a weird obscure *gem* not really a gem but lol.... i like the setting, even though it repeats the same level about 5 times (start in a subway, have to get to the train on opposite sides) that was a big filler. really the gunplay is really fun!!! the whole game feels really slav and hobbled togeather in some russian bunker by a team at gunpoint, but it has tons of charm. i dont know why it gets such shit ratings, i had a blast with this weird game. theres tons of different guns (i mean tons) and each are fun to use in their own right. when you shoot the enemy you get satisfying hit reactions and animations, blood splatters etc. theres a few different enemy types, sometimes they can even wear body armor and it actually fucks with you often.
it is your typical quicksave everytime you progress shooter, but it actually challenges you. the AI is lethal and don't fuck around. you lose health FAST. the first few levels you think the game is broken or just retarded but then you kind of learn the quirks of the mechanics and how to play and you feel like a badass popping heads and taking names. it really does feel like its own game and not ripping anything else off. didn't care much for the story but atleast it had one. the level design at times however can be utter dog shit (getting lost for dozens of minutes just because you missed that ONE spot to progress)
theres just something about it that I like more than a lot of other games recently, it just felt fun to play through and the gunplay and ragdolls are just satisfying, easy as that!
