Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

played coop story/realistic/5 lives

you can tell the game is barely ported over for coop, the maplist is kind of messed up and DLC/extra missions and thrown in the mix. theres no cutscenes or diagloue and it's missing objectives. but the core gameplay is really the main attraction. maybe not as tactical as older rainbow six games, it still feels really 'operator' and every little move you make matters. the cover system is actually awesome and flanking enemies is often one of your only choices to progress. the enemy AI is decent to good, they act and behave tactically, will flank you and toss nades at your location and behave as a squad talking to eachother and giving orders. the weapons feel really satisfying to use and utilizing the level design works in your favor. in coop its not uncommon to get 80% through a 30 minute level, both die, then have to do the whole thing again, so it adds a lot of risk to the gameplay

overall it was really enjoyable, maybe not quite as much as vegas 2 because the coop lacks polish, but its a very fun game

7/10
