i really enjoyed the progression of niko from a dirty slav straight off the boat, to becoming successful in a huge new city and meeting friends and new people, so the story is pretty cool for once. the new additions of the engine, physics, and how "real" everything felt made it a much more serious GTA game and I liked it a lot. the combat feels gritty and impactful, and many of the missions were pretty cool.
